How To: Grant Access to a Folder

Let’s say you’ve already created a folder named ‘San Francisco’ under the root folder on your account. You now want to add a new user with access to only that folder:

  1. Click ‘Admin’ on the main sidebar, a popover window is presented
  2. Click ‘Permission Groups’ on the popover menu.
  3. Click ‘New Group’
  4. Name the group, turn on any desired Configuration Rights, and choose the ‘San Francisco’ folder by clicking the box labeled ‘Folders’.
  5. Click ‘Save Group’ (skip the ‘Users’ section, as we haven’t created the user yet).
  6. You’re now back on the main ‘Admin’ section. Click ‘Users’ on the popover menu.
  7. Click ‘New User’
  8. Provide the person’s email address, which will be their username. Turn on ‘Can Log In’, select desired Configuration Rights, and choose the group that you just created by clicking the box labeled ‘Associated Groups’.
  9. Click ‘Save User’ (an email will be sent to the user to activate their account with a new password).
