You can set maintenance for any device or alarm which you expect will generate alerts that you don’t want for a certain period of time, such as when an OS is applying updates. Any devices or alarms that are currently under maintenance will not generate any alerts. All devices under maintenance will be listed under the ‘Informational’ tab that is visible at all times in the top-right corner of the NiTO dashboard.

An entire folder can be placed into maintenance mode, which effectively places all devices, alarms and sub-folders under it into maintenance mode.

You can schedule one-time and recurring maintenance windows, or force maintenance on or off:

  • Off – Do not go into maintenance mode, even if scheduled to do so. When applied to a sub-folder, this overrides the maintenance mode of any ascending folders.
  • Auto – Default, automatically enter and leave “Timed” maintenance based on the listed schedule.
  • On – Stay in “Untimed” maintenance mode until a user changes this state.

While under maintenance mode, devices will continue to be monitored for as long as they’re reporting data; the only difference is that alerts will not be generated for an item that is under maintenance.
